last day of the year of 2008!!!
gosh!! time REALLY flies!! the previous new year celebration tht we had in london is still fresh in my mind and feels as if it is js few days ago.
2008 has been an unusual and special year for me. it started under the magnificent and colourful firework above the london eyes, followed by the sweet and precious relationship that pun and i share. The powerful effect of magic mushroom over human rationality was unforgettable and within this year, i witnessed the Eiffel Tower, Colosseum and Pisa. The majestic jungfrauhjoch was impressive and the beautiful and fun 'kampung kacang' in germany will always be in my mind. Barcelona is always tht warm and welcoming, while friedrichshafen was like my second home in europe. Not forgetting the breath-taking scottish highlands views and their nice ppl. no long ago, i walked to places most of time rather than driving, and i wore severral layers rather than singlet and i travel to wherever tht i can think of. the friendship tht we had made everything perfect!! 2008 has been a wonderful year for me!!!
2008 is also a year where my life has changed dramatically. Leaving the student life and walk into adult working life pushed me into the harsh reality of life. it is so down-to-earth and different from wat i have been through in europe.
However, i do realise tht one cannot always travelling, spending money and not doing anything else. So, now i am living my life and i want to be a good pharmacist. i want to strt savouring the beauty of little little things in life. i am looking forward for a wonderful year ahead! so, 2009, here i come!!!!hiak hiak hiak!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! HAVE A GREAT GREAT YEAR AHEAD OO~~~!

hi everyone!!
hi everyone!!!
this is like my...N-th attempt to write my new post, every time when i am about 2 strt writing, i will sure choose 2 do something else - presentation la, watch drama la, read up some stuffs la etc etc etc. no...this time i must write something!!
many thoughts in my mind tht i want to share but i js cant find d right words to express them. Maklum lah, working life (especially in hospital) kills creativity and ability to express myself well. Reality is not fun. to describe my life now?? -- sometimes a bit bored, no excitements, under d pressure to improve everyday, and unable to find time to do things that i like.
before i strt working, i always tell myself tht life is how we live it. however, till now, after 3 months working, i cant run away from the typical lifestyle of a working adult - wake up, work, drag ourselves bc home, sleep and ....then repeat d process again. i am like isolating myself in my own warm world.
so....HI EVERYONE, HOW R U GUYS DOING???
my christmas was nothing interesting. my bro js had his wedding ceremony yesterday, havent got d photos to be uploaded here. phaik khee visited kuching and we all had a great time, photos have been uploaded in facebook. meeting up with monkey glen is fun but can vomit blood ;p.
this year's christmas and new year celebration is VERY MUCH different from last year's. i miss those great time we had in europe!! and this also make me realise how fast does time fly!!! it's been a year!!! gosh!!! guess three months is long enuf for me 2 hav lousy lifestyle, i must make a change!!
suggestion...? hehehehe...

updates...
i listened to my fm one morn on my way to the hospital, the topic being discussed was about 'government servant'. biasa lah, the responses received all criticised on how inefficient, how corrupted and how irresponsible the government sector is.
a caller called to defend herself cos she is a teacher and she has to work very very very hard. so, finally, someone is talking on behalf of the rajin government servants...but...she came out with a conclusion: all government servants are lazy except teachers.
eh.....HALLO!!!! where do u put us in the medical line who are super busy everyday tht we dun even hav the time 2 call to the radio station n defend ourselves??!!
********
ok, i have not been updating my blog for ages.
here is some 'basi' news:
i have been driving my white coloured myvi EZi for 3 weeks. loving it!!
alfreda got married!! first among my group of ji muis in kuching tht get married. it was an eventful day, she was super pretty and we had fun kacau-ing the groom.

i worked night shift last week from mon - sun. yes, til sun. i even hav to work from 3pm to 10pm on sat and sun, who told me government job senang??!! so...wat medic i dispensed the most during night time? neh...tht one, even a nenek tua can name it cos it's so mujarab for headache, stopping pain and fever. yes, u r right. PANADOL - paracetamol. flu medication is second in the list. adumak....can u imagine how boring it is?? even caught flu myself. cis....
dah lah i hav forensic exam on the 3rd nov. i can predict, i am goin 2 fail it cos basically, i hav no time 2 do revision. however, we had a 2-day kursus for this exam yesterday and 2day. never in my 1-month working life has it been so relaxing! sit there, listen to talk and gain weight. gain weight? yup, we had minum pagi at 10am, makan tengah hari at 12pm and minum petang at 4.30pm. but this kursus is a bit too short, and 2mr, i am goin bc to the forever busy Outpatient Department....
*********
u know how is sarawak policy in posting their pharmacist?? if u r a sarawakian, u will gt ur hometown during the 1st year of ur training (which is like m.ying n i), the after u finished ur PRP, u will be posted out from ur hometown...and 2day the penolong pengarah farmasi told us tht a lot of us from our batch will b posted to ulu-ulu places eg. Belaga, Lawas etc etc (no one will know where r these places even if i write more) where we will hav to take bus, then boat then bus again to gt there...about 10hours?....T-T....pls pray for me and m.ying strting from NOW...pls....
and to those ppl from west malaysian who has been posted to sarawak, dun worry, they will only 'sacrify' sarawakian. west malaysian will stay in either kuching, sibu or miri. so, no worries, wei ming n hee sheong...hehe....

time out.
no no...i must do something else to pull myself from the addiction of 家好月圆. OMG!! this drama is so damn good man. i cant stop watching every time. whoever has never heard of this drama, YOU ARE SO OUT!!!
this is the 2nd week of my job, much better than the previous week. at least now i know where amlodipine and amiodarone are put in the department. Next week i am goin 2 start dispensing to the patients, this means that i will face lotsa questions from the patients and i so scared tht i cant answer them or miss out some important info or even say the wrong thing. 2day my senior tested me on some of the medications found in the dispensory...liao....i din even know wat r the indications of some of the drugs!! so pai seh...hehe...really a lot to be learnt ar....somemore i am suppose to agak-agak remember how does each of the drugs looked like - capsule/tablet? big/small? colours? labelled? macam-macam.....if not, next tm if the dispensers fill the wrong drugs and i also dispense the wrong drug to the patient....then siao liao....
not too small, not too big, not too expensive, not too good and not too bad...it is just average but i like it!! my future car - myvi!! haha... this will be my first property. mayb i should give him a name --- no.1? 老大?si gemuk? si gorgeous? wat do u think?? hehehehe....
happily waiting for my myvi~~~~lalala~~~ but stressfully doing my job.....

916
916, this number has been very popular since the past few months, thanks to Anwar, who warned that there will be a drastic change in malaysia politic on this date. Never had sarawak and sabah received so much attention before this. I know the date that sarawak and sabah really merdeka was 16th sept since i was in secondary school, but no one ever bother bout this date and both these states has been celebrating merdeka day on the 31st aug for45 years!! lately, i have been seeing the slogan '45 tahun sarawak maju dalam malaysia' everywhere in kuching. suddenly, this date becomes important and suddenly everyone is looking at East Malaysia pulak. malu-malu kucing....
916, on a much much smaller scale, this date is VERY important, TO ME (and also for many of my batchmates in p105). yes, this is the day that i will be starting my 35 years working life. this is the day that i stop enjoying all the privileges and discounts i get as a student. ( for example, ticket for sarawak cultural village is RM 60 for adult and RM15 for student, 75% difference wei...). Most importantly, this is the day that i can never have more than a week holiday for the next 35 years!! OMG!! i have not been touching anything on medicine since 21st may and....that is 4 months ago!! i sure kena marah teruk and feel frustrated when i first started.
well, this important date, 916, is just 2 days away!!!!!!!!!!! @#%^*$!#*)!#$%
(oh ya, guess wat, till 2day, i haven't got my posting letter yet. 16th sept, i am goin 2 start working, and on 13th sept, i haven't received my posting letter. IF ming ying didn't go to SGH to check at 1st, wat will happen 2 us?? miss the report duty date?? i dunno which part during the process goes wrong, this shows that itu SPA punya orang/ pos malaysia sangat efficient lo...)

bo mood
i haven been waiting for my posting result to be out. i am eager 2 know where i will be working so that i can decide whether i should buy new furniture to be put in my room and whether i can go out for a trip b4 strting to work. when more and more ppl from my batch got their posting, i got more and more impatient.
today, m.ying called to tell me that she saw my name on the list of ppl working in kuching general hospital. so, guess that's it, i am goin to work in kuching. i am relieved but at the same time, i am a bit beh syok. gila meh? i tot this is wat u want, chong sue choo??
i know wat i am unhappy about. i dun like it when there is always ppl telling u wat u shud or shud not do. futhermore, they have the 'power' to stop u from doing something or make u change ur mind. i dun like it when i have to report everything, including where i go and who i go out with everytime. i dun like it when i have to think so much, taking into the consideration of the benefits/feelings of other ppl when i want to do something. sometimes, i feel so bored and sometimes, i even feel lonely. i want to go some places to relax or have fun with frens, but 1st, i will hav to get permission. in short, i am losing 80% of my freedom.
however, as i am writing all these, i strted to realise tht beside losing my 'freedom', things might be harder if i dun gt kuching. 1st thing 1st, i will have to find accommodation and mode of transportation to hospital if i am working in other states. then, i might feel lonelier as i dun have family beside me now and no one can guarantee that i will be able 2 stay with frens. No doubt, i will gain bc 100% freedom but then at tht time, i am on my own.
there is always good and bad in everything. i dunno if i will be staying in kuching for the rest of my life and become a kuching si lai.....but at least, i can strt shopping for new furniture for my room......( but still, i am not smiling.)

apa-apa saja.
second attempt to upload photos in facebook failed. @#$%&%$#*&#$%*&#@@$!!!! geram betul!!!
back to malaysia for more than a month and i find myself adapting better to this country. However, things are harder than it was. I want to go somewhere for a short trip to get away from the hustle and bustle of city, i want a place that i feel and breathe like when i was in konstanz, friedsrichafen and kampung kacang. i just want to go for another trip b4 i strt working for the next 35 years. However, it is not as easy as when i was in glasgow. 1st thng 1st, airasia is expensive (compared to ryanair). 2nd, i need permission from my parents b4 i can make my dream comes true. the outcome?? sit at home, lock urself in ur room and on the music, perhaps, u can relax too.....
went to KL last week to attend the convocation ceremony held by imu. (2 times of rehersal, really a waste of time!!!) The ceremony was a success. Guess it was the last time tht p105 gather together again. Gonna really miss the time that we spent in IMU and in glasgow!!
we met up with choo ge and eng loon. B-13-5 reunited!
we went to PD to meet up with kai lun!! woohohoho...it was really relaxing and i enjoyed it very much. kai lun brought us to a rumah api in tanjung tuan, and it is exactly the place that we went 5 years ago when ALM was there for our biology experiment. we saw the hotel that we stayed at tht time and the jungle that we went in to get to the rumah api. everything was so familiar, but it was 5 years ago!!! perhaps, it is sometimes good for us to re-visit places tht we went b4, cos the feeling is different!! of course, when u r in PD, u must go to their beach. it was nice and not as dirty as it is described by many ppl. no photo of the beach available cos kailun has all the photos. hehe...

Have been in kuching for...a week++ and i am almost bored to dead. hahahaha...however, i do enjoy the time spent with my family, my frens and kuching food!!! not so happening here...but wat make me frustrated is the internet connection in my house!! argh~~~ i cant go into imeem and cant load movie from many website. now i understand y the pirated vcd sellers in jalan song are still making big profit...cis!!

this is my brother, trying to smile like edison chen (who appeared in batman: the dark knight, but i din notice at all!!). this photo was taken before his competition in flowery lays up held in The Spring (a new huge shopping complex in kuching). TOTALLY out of our expectation, he got 2nd price in this competition!!! it was js a small competition held for fun and there wasnt many participants, so dun think him as being VERY good when he gt 2nd place..hahaha...

oh ya!!! i must announce this. ladies and gentlemen, open ur eyes BIG BIG

i went for my medical check up this evening and my height measured is 1.69m!!! tps, i am just 0.5 cm shorter than u r...wahahahaha!!!!

dilemma.
when u have to choose between an orange and an unknown fruit-
orange - sweet but slightly sour, easy but boring. u might fed up one day.
unknown fruit - no clue on how it tasted like. it should be more interesting but it could be boring as well. u might be exhausted one day.
when u are given these choices, will u leave it to god? or will u put ur fate in ur own hand?

missing europe.
looking back at all the pics that i took in europe, i wanna cry...i hate the feeling that i am so far away from these places....haih...i dunno when am i going 2 stop missing europe and grumbling bout m'sia. i am like a hopeless person, accepting unwillingly the fact that I AM IN M'SIA everyday, trying to discover the good and beauty of my home country.
i am now in kuching, back to my home sweet home. kuching isn't that bad. after all, this is where i belong and the best thing is to be together with my family and friends. however, the humid weather and the security problem make me extremely pek chek. my dad js warned me bout the bag that i am using cos it has always been the best target for snatch thieves. argh~~~~~
somebody, tell me what can i do to love malaysia more?? and stop missing uk?

my first day back in m'sia.
we went to melaporkan diri at putrajaya 2day and it was a long journey. my plan was to write a long post complaining and grumbling bout the dissatisfaction bout the way the kakitangan kerajaan in some departments work. . however, i dun feel like writing anymore, cos this is js wasting my energy. in conclusion, this experience sucks!!!
four of us happily lapor diri sambil berjalan-jalan before being pissed off by the lady who made us waited few hours for a simple offer letter.
i came bc at 10pm js now, taking LRT. the tot of having to pass through a tunnel before i can reach my bro's home and the imagination of 3 indian guys gathering there made me freak out!! i ended up calling my bro 2 fetch me at the station. am i thinking too much?? wa lao...so long nvr feel so insecure d...
6 gals sitting in the car, the two guys in the next car kept staring and staring. yes, gals, start being vigilant EVERY single moment u r on the street right now!!!
aih.............i am feeling much much much more insecure and dissatisfied in my own country compared to when i was abroad....
welcome back....tanah tumpahnya darahku...
oh ya!! good thing did happen also. we watched batman: the dark knight. it was superb!!!! highly recommended!!!

mold...
i can see mold in my blog...the last time i updated my blog was 21st june!!! wah!! tht's more than a month ago and tht was before my graduation, my mum's visit to europe, my barcelona trip and rosenheim outing!!!
so many things happened within this short period. re-visiting paris and london was fun, barcelona was happening and rosenheim road trip was simply amazing.
i woke up this morn and realised tht it is time for me to pack my stuffs dy, and i am flying back 2 malaysia in 3 days time!!! 3 days!! it's the end of my unforgettable one year undergraduate life abroad. i DEFINITELY going to miss it. how many trips have i been within this 13 months? hmm....9? i might have left out some. anyway, we were graping every single chance that we had to go somewhere. it was simply interesting.
the weather is nice, the sky is nice, the sceneries r breathe-taking!! the crime rate is lower, no cheating, no snatch thieves... well, there sure will b someone critising me for 'mengagung-agungkan' western country. of course there are lotsa bad things bout europe countries as well...but i just enjoy the feeling of not having to grap my handbag tight tight, and walking alone on the street without worrying that i might be the nx victim of robbery/sexual assualt.
hmmp....another 3 days...i am enjoying every moment i have here while inevitably wondering how would my life be when i am back in malaysia and started working. i hope everything is going to be flowing smoothly...i really hope...

i am in london
i cant believe that my two weeks stay at friedrichshafen has come to an end!!! before goin there, i was thinking that i have plenty of free time, and i want to do this, do that and do this and do that....
now, i am in glen house, london. realising that i did not complete most of the 'this' and 'that' which i planned before...this is goin 2 be a long journey, as i am goin 2 have my graduation on the 30th june followed by trip with my mum and aunt to paris and london.
too much things to be said but...simply no mood 2 write them down...anyway, i am happy to be in london, looking forward for manchester, graduation and seeing my mum...but missing friedrichshafen....
ciao...

konstanz basketball gathering
it was an eventful day. most of the ALG guys from different parts of germany gathered in Konstanz last weekend for a basketball match game organised by james.
for us in friedrichshafen, we departed early in the morning on sat...1st time using ferry in europe, a bit excited, though....hehehe...
this is the first time i've seen so many of the ALG guys even since i left intec...really glad 2 c some of them. with few jokers around (chor yeow, jerome, jackson etc etc), i was laughing non-stopped. BIG HELLO to everyone!!!
really glad to see them in action on basketball court again, just like i used to see in akasia basketball court last time. however, it's a bit different this time, big boys have grown into men!!! and jia jin added his manhood by an addition of scar right below his eyebrow...haha!! no worries, jia jin, u still look good. ;p
despite some accidents and injuries that occured during the game, everyone enjoyed themselves.
thanks to james for his effort.
these are the few photos taken using my camera, so can only upload these few here...

laziness~~~/ switzerland
hey, this is my 101th post!!!
i know i really should update my blog more frequently lately as i am super free now. i have my italy and switzerland trips to update before i forget everything...but i just have something to do everyday and reluctant to write a long post about the trip. i really salute those people who constantly update their blogs, really need perseverance le....
i am quite busy nowadays --- wake up late, watch drama, search info for my mum's holiday here, watch drama, cook, go out for a walk, watch drama -- a day of 'si lai', using most of the time watching drama.....wakakakaka...

putting aside my long long italy trip, i am more interested to write bout my short Switzerland outing last weekend.
we departed from friedshafen early in the morning and reached interlaken ( a town situated below the famous peak of Jungfrau and between the Lakes of Thun and Brienz) around 1pm. A lovely small town, the people there are very friendly and speaks good english ( not like italian).
we took a slow nice stroll withing the town. i dunno whether because it was a saturday or wat, as we were walking on their suppose-to-be the busiest street in the town, the Hoheweg street, there was very few ppl, very quiet.

we went up the harder-kulm, 1322m above sealevel. ' incredible view of interlaken, the two lakes and the whole Jungfrau region unfold before you' - this is how it was described in the brochure. BUT it was cloudy on that day and as we reached the top, we can't see anything becos it was very foggy!!!!! hey~~ i am here to watch 'incredible view of interlaken', not to watch fog, ok?? aih....wat to do? we can't control the weather, but at least there was swing there, and we got to drink wine and snacks which were included in our ticket.
the cows are all wearing cow bell...it's ringing every moment. never seen this in other country le...
harder-kulm should be a nice place if the weather was good!!
Now, we were worried bout the weather 2mr, if it is this foggy when we go up Jungfrauhjoch, there gone my 100 euro!! please please please...i want sunny day!!
the weather wasn't that good when we started our journey early in the morning...worried but with hope in our heart....
but as the sun rose....we can finally smile widely when we see this ---
they kept on stressing on jungfraujoch as the top of europe. however, it doesn't mean that it's the highest peak in the Alps, 'it is just above this location that the mountain station of Jungfrauhbahn is located, which at an elevation of 3,454 metres is the highest railway station in Europe' - quote from wikipedia.

hahaha...no la...it was too bright that we could hardly open our eyes...of course we forced ourselves la, but then our eyes were so uncomfortable and painful...
the scenery from jungfraujoch was simply different!! surrounded by snow and ice and standing high up on the mountain!! i always like the feeling of being somewhere high and looking down. 站得高看得远! the experience and view in jungfraujoch were really amazing!! unforgettable!!
the biggest advice from me: Bring sun glasses when u 1 2 go jungfraujoch!!!
soon...it was time to leave...
the view on the way down was as impressive and breath-taking!!

we saw this at the Zurich train station -
