something bout the giraffe in my house...RANDOM

there is a giraffe in my house, her favourite food is muesli + yogurt + crisps + cereal...we name it 'giraffe rojak'. among these cereal, the one tht she likes the most is strawberry crisps from tesco. she will feel uneasy whn there is only 2cm thick of crisps in her storage, and her fovourite phase this few days is 'whn r we goin 2 tesco?'. she has as many as 12 packets of cereals!!

stressed when she was eating her last bit of strawberry crisps this noon, she finally understands y she likes crisps soooo much...cos the crisps loves her...

half way chewing her beloved crisps, she discovered this heart-shaped crisps...

actually, there is a story bout the background of this giraffe. she was a duck bc in intec and imu. so, she has lotsa duck soft toys. however, ever since sept 2007 in germany, she evolved into a giraffe!!! ever since that, she is a giraffe and now the number of giraffe soft toys she has out-numbered the duck soft toys. she has her portray sticked at her bedroom door...BUT 2day, as her pretty and adorable housemates came bc from class, they saw giraffe before-evolusion photos...the DUCKIES!! so, they decided 2 put those photos at her bedroom door as well...

when giraffe evolved from duck, she lost all her feather 2 keep her warm, so she is very very scared of cold weather. however, 2day is her lucky and happy day, cos she discovered a 100% wool sweater in her cupboard 2day...1 2 freeze to death also susah lo....

pls beware of this giraffe, cos she is gentle usually, BUT can be VERY VERY VIOLENT when her adrenaline level suddenly boost up. she speaks softly last tm, but now her pharynx is getting stronger and most of the tm, she is loud. hehehehe....dun play play with her, cos she is the CHAMPION in our house!!! she is voted as the FUNNIEST person in our house!!!

this is the soft toys she has...CUTE & NICE!!! but my main point is: she has lotsa soft toys d, so whenever any of u feels like giving out a soft toy, DUN give her anymore, DO give to HER NICE NICE HOUSEMATES....;p

time flies...how fast does it fly?? well, in a manner that shocks me!!

we were discussing bout christmas n new year celebration, and i suddenly realised tht it has been a year since my trip to s'pore!!

i celebrated my christmas last year at Singapore!! can't believe it was already a year ago cos everythg seems to be still so near for me...i can still remember the long hour night bus tht i took from KL to S'pore, the super congested s'pore street, the fantastic decorations at orchard road, the christmas eve whr we all dressed up and went clubbing, the sampat n lame jokes, and the GREAT time we all had!! the first trip tht involved all 7 of us...oh...i js miss u guys soooo much!! hugzz...

i still remember that i was so exhausted n had 人 潮 恐 惧 症 after coming bc from s'pore. din plan 2 go anywhr 2 celebrate new year. however, Royston paid us all at IMU a visit tht tm, and glen they all were super busy for their final exam, so, ended up me, royston, s.teng n loon ge went 2 sungai wang for countdown...

it was crazy!! a lot of lala chai n lala mui on the street, playing with d snow spray...and they js spray randomly...i dunno wat kind of joy would they have by doin so...sigh...we managed 2 avoid being their victim..but kesian royston, kena teruk once...hahahaha...besides, it was super super congested...the 1st and also the last tm tht i would go for a new year countdown like this...hehe...oopps...din even take any photos le...

yea...glen they all was sooo busy studying for their final tht tm, no tm for christmas n new year celebration, but here they r, now at London, gonna clbrt new year at london this year...and as for us, we were worrying bout our final, doubting whther we can fly to glasgow, and here we are, experiencing the super windy, cold and depressing winter weather...and excited bout our 1st and only christmas celebration at western country...cool!!!

forget bout the price, i just like it!! tht's y i bot it even with this price...argh~~~my poor keychain....a keychain collector js broke a keychain tht she likes very much...sounded stupid...anyway, i cant do anythg d...i will not buried it, i'll mummified it...hehehe....

yea...what u cant gt is always d best...nvm, this can b another strong reason for me 2 go visit prague again...

this little thing intruded my room that morn and it stayed overnight. as i has got no suitable food for it, i decided 2 set it free...hehehe...;p

intruders...rather than using 'intruders', 'visitors' shud b a better word...well, come to think of it, how many people actually came into our lives and walked away? how many ppl had left our lives but leave footprints in our heart??

of course we remember big ppl in our lives, but i somehow remember a few ppl that entered my life but quickly walked away...

i went 2 have my NI number interview not long ago. well, tht place is at an area which is totally unfamiliar 2 us, hav 2 take bus thr and not sure whr to alight. m.ying gt lost, so i got so worried whn it's finally my turn 2 hav d interview. i went on this bus and showed d bus driver my map, he told me tht he'll let me know whn reach thr. happy-nya saya, it will b easy then!! but as i sit inside the bus longer n longer, something is not right, it couldnt b this far. there came two men who check our tics on the bus, one of them approached me and said:'sorry, young lady, d bus driver forgot 2 tell u d place tht u shud gt down, he went passed it, u hav 2 gt down now.' huh?????? gong!! how am i suppose 2 know whr i am now n how 2 gt 2 my destination? 'dun worry, we will bring u thr.' whoa!!! those 2 ah pek immediately looked like d most handsome n charming guys tht i hav ever met in my life!! they brought me across the road and took d bus on the opposite direction. then, showed me d way...yea, dengan senang-nya, i found my way!!! good ppl are everywhr...hehehehe...

good people tht i met!!

i went 2 work last week....it was a long story, but i am lazy 2 write out this unhappy incident. anyway, i kena marah kao kao by tht gay supervisor...teruknya!! spoilt my mood for the whole night...yea, i know he was js stressed out and after scolding, he couldnt even remember who he had scolded and will forget bout it...and i know that i shudnt put it my heart as he's js some insignificant ppl, but i js dun feel good!! turtle!! anyway, this make me think...yea, sometimes without realising it, i do say thgs that hurt other ppl's feeling o spoil their day....

well, this is not a good ppl tht i met (not tht bad after all), but make me realised somethg that i think is important...

ppl walks into my life...i smile whn i thought of someone who had brought so much joy 2 me; and my heart sinks whn i thought of someone who had brought the pain, whether like it o not, it does leave an impact...but there is always reason for somethg to happen, and i think there is always a reason for us 2 meet tht someone in our lives...

what is the hottest song in our house now? it's this jay chou song, 青 花 瓷.when i first saw the lyrics of this song, i was blur for a moment, cos i dun understand the lyrics!! haha!! need a little bit of interpretation. typically, this is js another chinese style song in jay chou album, but still, i find it nice. memorising its lyrics is a mission impossible...BUT s.teng managed 2 remember it!!! so...thanks to her shocking talent, we will have a performance from her in this christmas!! hehe!!

have been working in a cafe for these 2 days. 1st tm working in the cafe, kinda easy job. my job is to collect back all the used plates and cutleries. the customers in the cafe r all above 60 years old. haha!!! tht's y i like this place, crazy huh?! cos i find their old ppl cute, always smiling and very friendly, not like their younger generation (OMG) ...hmm....i'm quite happy 2 work here, somemore, i gt 2 eat nice food!!! hohoho!! i had prawn sandwich yesterday, and salmon wif baked potatoes 2day. guess wat? i looked at d menu 2day n found tht both of these food tht i eat costed 3.95 each. hohoho!! if it isnt bcos of working here, i won b spending this much of money on bread n potato. ;p

oh ya!! the best thg of all? i gt tips for the 1st tm in my lifetime...not much, though, but happy!!;) nice 2 b able 2 work in this place, the workers n customers r nice. met 2 china guys who r working thr, kinda funny ppl but friendly. again, i gt lost inside the building. haha!! i dunno how long does it need 4 me 2 get familiar with tht place. so embarrassing, my supervisor actly hav 2 tell me twice and pointed out the way 2 me cos i cant find my way out of tht building. haha!! hav been standing for 7 hours 2day, basically, i cant feel my feet d...too tired...hehehe...

i hav not been studying for sooo long, kinda worried. there is an oral presentation in a week's tm, deadline of my research project introduction in 2 weeks time and a class test in dec...OMG!! i'm not prepared for any of these. but i am js tired now and dun feel like doin anythg...hmmm...guess i got 2 gt started, be a good student again...

my emotional scale now: i am happy!! ;) but tired....

went to work at at a 4 star Hotel this morning, wasn't that tiring, at least better than the previous two times, but the manager is much much fiercer...however, it was considered a smooth day for me...hmm...yea...considered...and learned a few lessons...

ok, i hav nvr served b4, so rather than pretending tht i know how, i better admit it 1st and let them show me d correct way....

manager: ok, i dun 1 2 see ur faces, disappear!

huh?? disappear?? gong for a moment, wat r we suppose to do 2 disappear?? then, the other workers looked at us and asked us 2 go 2 d canteen, grab the breakfast on the table and eat. huh?? very blur...at last, we ended up not serving the champagne BUT eating breakfast prepared by this 4 star hotel.

moral of the story: be lazy and u gt 2 eat good food, be hardworking and u gt nothing. ;p

after a moment....the manager came in, shouting:' who served table 55?'
looked a round, seeing nobody admiting: 'dun let me find u.'

whoa...for a moment, the situation in the staff canteen become very tensed!! every1 is stunned. cuak sai....someone then informed him tht the gal was in the washroom.

we then gt 2 know tht she spilt all the 10 glasses of champagne!! on a customer somemore!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!! i dunno wat will happen if i were the one tht did this mistake. terrible!!

i was then feeling glad tht i din forced myself 2 serve the champagne whn i wasnt confident, disappearing is good, in a way.

moral of a story: nx tm, if someone spill something on ur elegant gown o suits, give them a smile and forgive them, cos they will feel 100 times worse than u do. they r just worker who work hard for that little salary. 人 家 也 是 有 阿 妈 生 的。

not trying 2 be racist, but after working for a few times, and everytime, i'll find the indian guys like 2 order ppl 2 do thgs but r lazy themselves. acted as if they r so superior and smart, keep on ordering other ppl 2 work....apa lah, we sama tinggi sama rendah saja...want to show ur manhood? go bc to the ancient tm la...

but trying be fair also, there r some good n helpful indian guys as well, dun 1 2 make such a big sweeping context...hehe...still, hav 2 judge a person as an individual, not in colours...;p

moral of the story: when u r out of ur country, u carry the name of ur country...ppl dun recognise u as, for example, 'lazy hussain' ( one of d workers' name 2day...;p), but as 'lazy indian'. then, nx tm whn u c another indian guy, the 1st perception is already in mind -- another lazy indian.

whn u r talking with other part-timers, (basically, i see bermacam-macam colour whn i am working all this while, indian, black, local scottish, african...and banyak lagi tht i cant tell wat they really r or whr they really come from) most of them have high qualification in a field. most doing their masters or phD.

whn i was working with them, some of them r really quiet, looked a bit lost most of the time, and the scottish supervisor will hav to repeat their orders a few times and louder ( should i blame the scottish for their accent?). they looked so tiny and apprehensive.

come to think of it, these are BIG ppl in their country, but become so small when they r in another country. difference in language does matter, cos this make them quiet and this make them feel lost most of the time. master holder who r studying to get their phD working as a waiter/waitress and get shouted because of putting the bread at the wrong place....

moral of the story: it doesnt matter how 'big' or how 'small' other ppl looked at you, working towards the goals tht u want to achieve is what tht really matters, eventhough you hv to look 'small' sometimes...


hahahaha....just a part time, i can be so lo so d, but i must complain a bit, the plates r seriously heavy, my hands will shake everytime after working. can someone use plastic plates instead of all those ceramic plates? (kinda impossible.;p)

hehehe....some of you might think that i am crazy, wat kind of song is this?? well, this is 'Toreador song' that we had heard when we watched the opera, 'Carmen' in Vienna. i heard this song again when i was working in a hotel this morn, and i felt so happy!!! haha!! i find it nice!!! ;p

just a short introduction, it's a song sung by the matador Escamillo in that opera. it describes various situations in the ring, the cheering of the crowds and the fame that comes with victory.

as i search through you-tube, i found this video...the singer is Dmitri Aleksandrovich Hvorostovsky (Russian: Дмитрий Александрович Хворостовский) is a top baritone opera singer from Russia.

bonfire night!!

hohoho...the very first fireworks tht i see in glasgow...very very impressive!!! it's Bonfire Night here in UK on the 5th Nov every year. on this day, ppl will play fireworks lo...thr's a story behind this celebration...it's about...ooppss!! i cant remember clearly, anyway, can check wikipedia...hehehe...

thr's a big event at glasgow green tonight, fun fair and food...but those din attract us at all, it's d fireworks tht brought us to this place...yeah!!! the fireworks was impressive...it was huge, following the music and it has got different patterns, eg. spiral and even 'sperm-like'...hahahaha....


try to put the video of the fireworks...quality not so good, though...gt shaky hands and my shooting skills memang not tht good...anyway, this is the best i can gt...special thank to min tien n hee sheong for their help...hehehe....

as a early warning, for those who havent watched babel and planning to watch, stop reading from this dot.

well, js finished watching it and wonder wat kind of dreams will i have later, must not b pleasant ones...have been warned by m.ying tht this movie is quite disturbing b4 watching it, but even equipped with this preparation, i still find this movie darn disturbing n stressful...a very heavy topic but make us think...

how little things tht we do accidentally can lead to big mistakes?? the boy was js trying his gun and he had nvr thought tht he almost killed a woman, caused political issues and the worst thg, gt his brother killed. does amelia ever think tht attending his son's wedding can lead to her deportation from US permanently? she loves the children n takes good care of them, although it's not her fault, but the children almost die!! how traumatic it is to see ur mum killed herself? the gal was lonely, and i couldnt imagine her world without any sound...

it was so stressful as i follow the story, i was worried tht somethg very terrible might happen, like one of the children die, or the mother die or the japanes gal commit suicide...hahaha!! i was strting 2 create my own endings le, but luckily it din turn out 2 b tht bad...luckily i wasnt the script writer...hahaha...quite relieved to know the good endings, o else i'll hav depression liao...

however, thr's still something in this movie that make me touched...the local guy tht had been staying beside brad pitt and his wife all the while, he was very helpful and patient even whn brad pitt lost his temper...in fact, the weird old lady was helping too...hehe...then, the japanese lieutenant, hehe!! he is good in controlling himself (hehehe!!) and was understanding, guess he had changed d gal, the ending will b different if he also reacted like the dentist...

complicated feelings, but i js cant express it better...anyway, it's tm for me 2 sleep d...hmm...gt 2 listen 2 jay chou's cowboy song b4 goin 2 bed, or else, thr will b stressful dreams tonight...hehehe...see!! this stupid song has gt some therapeutic effect...haha!!

yea...when i first heard this song sent by james, i was like 'wat??!! jay chou's new song?? haih...he's old d la, no idea then simply come out with this kind of song...'

following tht, i have been hearing criticism bout his new album, esp. bout this song...call me 变 态, say me 痴 线, criticize me as low taste or whatever u like, BUT i js find this song quite nice after listening a few times...hahahaha!!! my opinion changed after watching the video...no doubt, the lyrics is totally meaningless and like a piece of shit, but just feel very entertained and happy after watching. it's relaxing and lively, none stress-inducing, and totally brainless. simple and easy...js happy!! haha!!!

went to work on fri and 2day...9 hours on each day (whoa!!)...setting up the tables for events tht is goin 2 take place...quite a nice experience and make some new frens...setting up d place was fine, but i have 2 serve the guests as well 2day, 1st tm with no experience and training at all...kinda kelam-kabut..n gt scolded a bit...apart from tht, it was quite a nice experience though...do u know wat will happen 2 all d food tht cant b finished by customer? b it steak, lamb, rice o...anythg!! tht r goin into the rubbish bin!! u can gt bags of rubbish bags filled with food!! mind u, these r all NICE and LUXURY food...like 2day, we had a wedding ceremony of an indian couple, so they had this bryani rice, curry chic n lamb etc etc...thr's sooooo many left over food!! they js pour it down 2 d bin!! not 2 say tht thr r ppl starving at another end of the world, thr r ppl starving right here!! (not me, but some of the workers tht worked wif us din gt 2 eat from 9am to 5pm, can u imagine??)...u'll js hate d feeling of seeing those food being thrown away like tht...haih...wat kind of world is this??


m.ying's mum has been here for more than a week...yeah!! great thing bout having a 'mum' at home? u gt 2 eat home cook food, ur house is forever tidy and clean...n beside the proper 3 meals a day, u gt desserts, and hot 'tong sui' after coming bc from cold windy condition outside. thanks to m.ying's mum, we discovered new place in glasgow..hohoho...the flee market tht we had nvr been...it was quite interesting to be thr, it was like petaling street!! and along the road has gt lotsa budget shops, whr we can gt cheap stuffs...the best thg tht we had bot?? christmas tree!! hohoho..not a small 1...it's 6ft tall!! hohohoo....

we went 2 Aberdeen last week!! yea...superb hospitality from ck and siu xian and alice!!! Aberdeen was much much colder than glasgow and the buildings were different from wat we have here in glasgow...one thg i like bout aberdeen is tht there is beach!! it was beautiful!! it was sooo great 2 b able to see alice again...looking forward for our gathering again in new year!!!

really a random post, js write anythg tht crosses my head...it's really empty now...and heavy...darn exhausted after the work 2day...looking around my room now, it's messy!! but i simply love it..cos it's so cosy...hehehehe....

m.ying is famous for her talent in twisting her body parts into many different posture, which is unachievable by many other ppl...so, under the encouragement of s.teng, providing her bed as a support, m.ying had her 1st lesson in teaching her special yoga class...are you ready????

first, form a crescent shape, notice that you should face out, not in...


then, open ur leg wide and at the same time, bend ur leg towards your body...if u are as talented as m.ying, u r suppose to be able to touch ur shoulder!!!


now...relax a bit...lift up ur hand...


it is time for something cute...stretch ur legs and open them wide...
