i want something 2 spice up my life, NOW, right now and at this moment!!!
Geram~~~chinese new year is js around the corner and i still fail to find cny clothes!! i finally c a dress tht i like this morn, and it's out of size...nvm, i went to another shopping complex for tht dress, it is out of size as well!!! celaka!! wasting my time, hope and fuel!!
i baked cookies yesterday and they hampir hangus!! ok, self use, not for guests.
clinical!! january is my clinical month. Am placed at CTW (cardiothoracic ward). i always liked clinical. I was excited and ambitious before i strted goin 2 ward. HOWEVER, 2 weeks has passed, and i am lost. i dunno whether i have learned anything at all or have i gained at least the skill to be a clinical pharmacist. i was like a bug, following the specialists and MOs for ward round but not contributing anything. i am like a lost child in the ward, clerking cases without understanding, and stayed bc until 7pm js to familiarise with the cases so tht i am able to participate in the discussion during the ward round.
things are getting better, at least, the MOs are kind to me and the two specialists before this 'layan-ed' me. i dunno wat will happen strting from 2mr, cos the specialist on duty this week is famous in asking house pharmacist lotsa questions, not because he needs advices, bt becos he 1s 2 test us....*sweat*....be kind to me, please~~~my heart very weak dy...
sometimes i feel tht i am 'seekor lembu' --- working hard without using brain (sorry, lembu-s). i walked A LOT ever since i strted my clinical (stupid setting, our IPD pharmacy is different block from the ward), preparing discharge medications for patients from my ward. i am not grumbling for doin all this, i js 1 2 learn more things other than doin delivery....
however, i was quite contented yesterday:
ah ma A was prescribed with Atrovent MDI inhaler for her wheezing after her CABG operation. 70 years old ++ and post-CABG, and u expect her 2 follow the 'exhale - inhale kuat & panjang - hold breath' process?? NO NO. suggested aerochamber for her, but the air muka of her family and herself changed. RM 90-100 for poor family is a HUGE amount. ah ma told me: 'let me try again...' she hoped to be able 2 use d inhaler without aerochamber. BUT...failed.
contacted social workers but their aerochamber out of stock.
no choice, i made a home-made spacer from an empty saline bottle. (luckily learned from mdm phan before this).
i taught ah ma A to use the MDI + homemade spacer, ah ma smile & said: 'ini saya dapat guna'.
hehehehe...mayb not such a big deal, but somehow, i still remember her smile. :)))))))))))
Many areas in kuching were flooded d other day, which included the HOSPITAL!! our IPD pharmacy kebanjiran tht sunday morning and i was on duty. wat an experience, dispensed without wearing my shoes!!!
