ang mo-s - scottish home students

what do they do?? they complain, too. BUT the difference is - THEY COMPLAIN IT TO THE LECTURER AND REQUESTED FOR THE REDUCTION IN THE NUMBER OF ASSIGNMENTS.


wooo hoooo!!! they actly voiced out their opinions to the lecturers!!
the best thing is, js now, three of the ang mo lecturers came into our class, and ask for voting for those who wants the number of pharmcare assignments to be reduced from 3 to 2!! of course everyone raise up their hands la...

before the voting, they were asking opinions from the floor...few of the ang mo students were asking Qs and voiced out their unhappiness regarding the assignments and for a moment, i can smell the sparks of unsatisfations among them. rather than describing it as 'discussion', we can say tht as being a 'debate'.

well, we will then c the result next week whether thr will b a reduction in our workloads.

again, i see the cultural difference!!!

as an asian, or rather a malaysian, or more specifically, a chinese malaysian, we (or only me?) have been brought up in a way tht not to oppose orders. when u were asked to do all the works, we just do it. telling ur teacher or someone older than u tht wat is being given is insensible or irreasonable would be regarded as 'lazy or biadab or rebellion'. if we were to talk to our 'beloved' lecturer like they js did in m'sia, the nx thg we'll gt is not our voice heard and reduction in workloads, but rather a 'inspiring' lecture from PPP. (secret code, P105 knows who is this.;p).

i am not trying to criticise PPP, this is js an example. what i want to say, really, is whenever we voice out our insatisfaction or unhappiness, most probably ( should i say definitely??), not only will there be NO changes, BUT somethg worse thg might happen to u (bad impression la，being cristicised la, being revenged on la...or bigger case, jailed. blah...blah...blah...)

do u still want to voice out whn u know all these consequences?? (just like anythg tht happen in m'sia?)

an accident near slim river on the 25th jan killed 3 persons and one of them is Lee Nian Ning. she was on her way to KL to meet up her bf. her bf is primary schoolmate of yannee and shirlyn, so, whn they told me this accident, i kinda felt a bigger impact, compared to other victims died on m'sia road everyday.

yes, accident like this happens very often. after each accident, there'll b 'actions' taken - eg. stricter laws for bus driver blah blah blah....

implementation? bersemangat for a month or two...then, it will b forgotten.....so what? lives gone. she's dead and no matter how strict the law is now, it cant change anythg. well, we must prevent thgs like this from happening again...yeah, right~~. how often do we hear the news of accident everyday?? how many lives had lost on the road?? ppls forget cos they cant feel the pain. typical.......

taking bus here (UK) is much much much safer. it's just different!

oopss...this post kinda heavier as compared to my last two gila-gila post...doesnt mean to create unecessary stress...
