the journey...

hehe...well, have been putting some of the photos during the trip but haven't been writing anything bout it. frankly, having headache this few days thinking on how to start writing bout this trip...it's a 21-days trip, with many activities, destinations and surprises...guess i'll have to face it, and use the simpler and less boring way to present it...hehe!! don't fall asleep!!

2/9 - 4/9: Prague

really a nice city, the buildings are unique and have their own identity. we visited the castle, old town square, petrin hill, charles bridge, and kutna hora.
The building that impressed me the most was the St. Vitus Cathedral. Very nice architecture and it was majestic!!


The Ossuary ( Bone Church) at Kutna Hora town was unforgettable. it was 'decorated' with around 60000 human skeletons, all died due to war last time.

Charles bridge was very scenic, m.ying liked it very much and was so reluctant to leave prague because of this bridge.hehe...i was suggesting her to do street performance here, so that she can be on this bridge forever.


one of the biggest attractions at prague was the food!! they were YUMMY and CHEAP!! we loved the pork knuckle the most!! it was huge but we managed to finished it all!! hiakz!! cheap and delicious!! wah...still thinking of it...haha!!!



Have to use the bargaining skill in petaling street whn buying souvenir at prague. they put high prices on the souvenirs...so, really have to be 'ah sam' if u 1 to save money...hehe!! we enjoyed buying the souvenirs cos they are all creative and cute!!


all in all, it's highly recommended to visit prague -- cheap stuffs and beautiful city...unforgettable...

5/9 - 6/9: Vienna

from an old city full of statues, we now move to a modern city, with all the modern buildings. we meet up with the ALG guys here. from 4 ladies, now our members increased to 5 gentlemen plus 4 ladies. throughout our 2 days stay in vienna, it was raining all the time!!! not only heavy rain, but also strong wind!!! it makes us hard to walk around and appreciate the beauty of this city. apa lah...few umbrella broken due to the strong wind and we kept on buying new umbrellas!! i was thankful to have all the guys around that tm, if it was still 4 of us, i think we will most probably stay in the hostel only...haha!!!

anyway, we still visited the Shonbrunn palace. my umbrella flew away at one point, an ang mo ah pek saw d incident n tried to pijak it for me...but failed!...umbrella kept on flying!!
haha...luckily we have dai kao n si ganas to chase after it...saved!! umbrellas were just too precious for us tht time...haha!! we cant walk around tht beautiful palace, we gt on a hop-on and hop-off train and snapped a few precious photos under the rain.


we then went to Donau River...very nice scenery...the god was kind enuf to stop the rain for a while when we were thr, so, we 'kill' lotsa memory space thr...

the deepest memory about vienna was the opera that we watched at the operahaus. 1st tm in my lifetime...our original plan was to cabut half way, but we then found it quite enjoyable and watched it all...haha!! stood for 3 hours without eating our dinner!! the title was 'Carmen'...the plot was stupid, but the setting, music and singing were really really impressive!!

7/9 - 8/9: Salzburg

Salzburg...everything is about MOZART!! they have mozart cafe, mozart chocolate, mozart cake and even mozart beer!!! undeniably, it's a very beautiful town...not as busy as vienna. we went to Hohensalzburg Fortress, Hellbrunn and Mirabell Garten.

Hellbrunn is a very beautiful fountain palace. there were a lot of trick fountains!!! we were the only youngster there, so basically, we become the victim of the tourist guide there. water can come out anywhr and at anytime. Most of us were wet whn visiting that place!! beside all those very 'giet' fountains, it is actly a very beautiful place...it was dazzling at that time, so the air was very fresh...

basically, i find salzburg very scenic and a very good place to unwind...

9/9 - 10/9 : Munich & Neuschwanstein

Munich, another beautiful city. finally, no more rainy days...yeah!!!

we had our dinner at Hofbrauhaus Munchen. This restaurant has a history of bout 100 years and it was said that Hitler gave his speech here before (watever)...the sausages and pork knuckles were nice. the beer was all sold in at least 1 L!! apa lah...so, i ordered Radler ( beer + soda drinks), shared with frens...i very kuai le, drank less than 0.5L la...hehehehe...
Neuschawanstein!!! my favourite!!! i still has its picture in my mind right now!! it was so so so so beautiful and breath-taking!!! the castle was simple but nice...i love it!! built by prince Ludwig II...james n pun told us story bout this prince...hmm...can check wikipedia...hehehehe...

11/9: Stuttgart

only now do i realised that we actly stayed at stuttgart for a day only. well, went to the mercedes-benz meseum, the Wilhema zoo and the television tower. A short stay but got lotsa activities...

mercedes-benz museum is cool...everything is very high tech inside and it has the history from the creation of the 1st car to the lastest disaster that had grabbed more than 2300000 lives, tsunami. we sort of testing each other on the informations tht we saw in it after the visit. do u know what does the symbol of mercedes-benz means? and do u know whr does the name 'mercedes' come from? hehehehehe...showing off lo....

Wilhema zoo, the biggest botanical garden+zoo in europe, welcomed us with beautiful landscaping...we din c much animals as we went thr quite late...all the animals sleep after 5pm in this zoo!! ( i think) but still gt 2 c polar bear, leopard...etc..etc...


Stuttgarter Fernsehturm, the television tower!! looked like the KL tower from the outside. the night scene from this extremely tall tower impressed all of us. however, it was freezing cold and the wind was blowing so strongly. everyone was shaking and thus can hardly take nice photo...hahaha!!! this is the only night scene that we see from high up during this trip...different kind of feel...

12/9 - 14/9: Konstanz

relax...relax...relax...simply loving this city...so relaxing and free...everything is about the sea, the sky and the fresh air. well, a lot of old ppl though, hehe!! a place for retirees... we watched stars by the sea at night, we went picnic at freibad horn and we went to the mainau insel where thr's a very beautiful flower garden. whn u r here, gt used to the lifestyle here -- 随 心 所 欲!! all the hustle and bustle of the city seemed like a joke here...( am i too exaggerating?). i even told james and mashi that i 1 2 stay there again for a couple of days before i go bc m'sia nx year...hmm...will this come true??

in Konstanz, there was a statue of a prostitute holding a priest in one of her hand and an emperor in another hand of hers. there is a story behind it ( liao!! can't really remember...again, can check wikipedia..hehe..), it simply means that woman has the ability to control the most powerful man. so...don't bully woman har...hehe!!

another highlight during the stay in Konstanz is the food!! local food...i mean m'sia local food!! hoho!! mashi cooked nasi lemak and 糯 米 饭 for us. he even prepared cookies, chocolate cake, brownies and cocktail (pina colada) for us!! oh ya!! not forgetting james' 蚂 蚁 上 树!! so nice that we are finding ingredients to make our own here!! wow...our stomachs were being very much pampered!!

15/9 - 19/9: Karlsruhe

busy city...but convenient trams...hehe!! more like a home to us here. Cooked 满 汉 全 席...all the hidden talents were revealed!! then, the guys even prepared breakfast for us...hohoho...so sweet...;)

the day which james had been waiting for is finally here -- europa park!! it's d biggest and busiet theme park in germany. no doubt, the setting inside this park was very nice...like being in the fairy tale world. the highlight in this park is silver star!! the fastest and tallest roller coaster in europe!! we were all very scared ( cuak sai ) during the 1st ride, but then, we got so excited that me, K.Hong, M.Ying, Pun and James actly went for the 2nd time!! Zen and Na, if u gals are here, u'll love it!!! we gt on a few other rides and watched a few shows...all very interesting!! 30 euro, definitely worth it!! hehe!!

hehe!! ah pun, got irritated ah?? hit me la!!! 吹 啊？！

after all the extremely games, it's time for something mild...hehe...visiting castle again. this time it's Heidelberg castle, with part of it destroyed by the war and part of it stroked by lightning. drank ice-wine (eiswein) there and m.ying n i immediately fell in love with it. nice wine!! the garden in this castle was very nice as well.

oh ya!!! we came across this fashion icon on the Heidelberg street...cuak sai!! he must had used a lot of gel la...haha!!i wonder wat is he thinking?? !! i just can't understand the art...

very soon, it's almost time for us to leave germany. the night before leaving germany, we all had dinner at '5-star' chinese restaurant...the food was nice...and we kinda had a 'fight' during paying d bill...mashi, observant huh?? hehe!!

19/9 - London

very reluctantly, we have to leave germany...it's always hard to say goodbye...we were all so used to the noise and liveliness around us, to leave it suddenly, it's kinda hard...but still, we have to leave. though sad, i'm looking forward to see this bunch of 'singers' again soon...hehe!! tschüss!!

we will meet again soon...

maybe because we were all exhausted...o mayb because of the emptiness......we din talked much when we were at London. we walked around to buckingham palace...after a while, we decided to find a cafe and sit down. 1 hour..2 hours...3 hours...finally, a monkey came n met us!!! hehe!! glad to see him again...growing thinner dy...

this then ended our first europe trip, really unforgettable and looking forward for our next trip...
